Biker
Sunday 2008 was a big success. We had over 330 bikes and close to 900
people in attendance. The crowd, music, service, food and weather
could not have been any better. People made commitments to Christ and
lives were changed.
All the numbers
aside, the important thing is that we had a great day telling people
about Jesus Christ and showing people the love of Christ through our
actions. We pushed the envelope
with the addition of Aiken Tech and we feel this was the best thing we
could have done. Our bikers,
staff, choir and volunteers did everything they could to make our guests
feel at home in both locations and the logistics of getting people where
they needed to be wasn't as hard as we thought.
The Lord showed up in a big way and provided us with a beautiful
day.
Even though we have received
emails, phone calls and personal testimonies about Biker Sunday 2008, we
need to remember that for every one we hear about, there may be 10 - 50
other people who feel the same way but we may never hear from them.
Not everyone will openly share the experience with us, but God knows what's
in their hearts and how the Holy Spirit is working in them.
We may never know the outcome of Biker Sunday 2008 other than the
Lord was present, the Holy Spirit went to work on a lot of hearts and
some were forever changed because of the experience. Thanks for
coming and we hope to see you in 2009.
